Gameplay Edit

Civony is a standard kind of MMOSG that has a strategy side to it, and also a very social kind of part. Some players use the game only as a social networking site. The game is quite set up for that as it has many chat sections. The world chat costs money to use and there's lots of spam, so most players use the *Alliance Chat*, which allows them to only talk to their in-game allies.

Cities Edit

Each player starts with one city, that has no buildings but an automatic 100 of each resource per hour. They must build everything except a *Town Hall*, which is already built. Players can go up in their title by completing *Routine Quests*. When they start as a Civilian, they have their one city. For every time your title goes up, you can conquer one more city. To conquer a city you must build troops and attack a flat. If you conquer the flat you need 10,000 of each resource (including gold) and 250 workers (a troop from the barracks). From here you can build your city, which takes about 5 minutes. The alternative is to attack a city owned by another online player and conquer it. If you do not successfully conquer it, you do not get the city, but you do get some resources to take back (assuming you won).

Currencies Edit

Each player can buy items with the gold they earn from their *Tax Rate*, but the alternative and much more valuable currency in the game is *Cents*. These cost real money, but can also be won in the *Wheel Of Fortune* or *Roulette Wheel*. The *Cents* can buy things that cannot be bought with gold, but each 10 *Cents* cost 1USD. You can speed up construction with *Cents*, but you can also increase the population, teleport your city, decrease casualties in a fight and much more.

Alliances Edit

Each player makes friends in this game, but the much smarter thing to do is to join or create an alliance with your friend. To join an alliance you need to build an embassy. Level 1 embassy allows you to join an alliance. To join you must apply and be accepted or be invited. However if your embassy is level 2 you can your own alliance. If you have/are in an alliance, you cannot attack allies. Alliance members can speak with each other by the in-game mail system, or they can talk on the *Alliance Chat*. If you are in an alliance you can send resources to alliance members, and more importantly you can reinforce them when they are being attacked. If you are in an alliance you can have an ally in another alliance. The leader of the alliance just has to set the *Diplomacy* to "Friendly". Other options include "Neutral" and "Hostile". On the in-game map, all allies flags' are green. Your flags are gold. Friendly alliances members flags are also green. Neutral is blue, and Hostile is red.

Population Edit

The amount of resources you make all depends on the amount of off-town buildings you have, and of course, the population. In the *Town Hall*, you have the option of adjusting the amount of resources you make. This of course, increases the labour force. This decreases the *Loyalty*. If you have a high population, and lots of off-town buildings, your labour force can be low, and you will still make lots of resources. The population of each city is decided by this equation:

TRG=Tax Revenue in Gold---TPL=Town Population Limit---IL=Initial Loyalty---ITP=Initial Tax Percent (Rate)---AIP=Actual Initial Population---LBF=Labour Force

TRG/TPL=LBF/IL, 100-ITP=IL

TPL 20000, AIP 10000, ITP 50, TRG 1000, TPL/100*IL=AIP 10000

(10000)AIP, LBF 1000, AIP/LBF*TPL/IL/AIP=LBF*TRG, TRG/LBF=10000

Hence, your actual population will be 10000.

Buildings Edit

Cottages Edit

Cottages provide a living space for your people. It increases the population limit, which increases the actual population.

Barracks Edit

A barracks is where your troops are made. The troops you can get are workers, warriors, scouts, pikeman, swordsman, archer, calvary, cataphract, transporter, ballista, battering ram and catapult. Out off all of these, the best value is the swordsman. However the strongest is the catapult. 1000 swordsman is the same as 72.36452758 catapults. However, looking at how much you pay for vs the damage and hp, 3.82 swordsman are the same as 0.82 catapults. If you put those numbers together like this, swordsmen are better:

72.36452758/1000*0.82+3.0-0.82+1.002=0.82/3.82{72.36452758=3082

Hence, those 1000 swordsman are actually worth 3000 if you're comparing overall with 1000 catapults.

1000/3000*72.36452758+3.82-0.00001=3.82/72.36452758*3000/3.82*0.82/72.36452758

Overall, swordsmen are the best.

Inn Edit

The inn is where you can recruit heros. Heros are important because you need them to attack anything. They require a small salary that will be deducted from your tax revenue.
